2015 in Pictures (a video)

Here are the pictures I took of myself (and sometimes with my youngest nephew) every Sunday in 2015. Sometimes there is more than one picture for each day. There are a couple of Sundays where we didn’t have church because of snow, so I’m dressed in regular clothes. I got my hair cut some time around the end of February.

I tried a new program to do the video. It’s an online program. I’m not sure if I’ll continue to use it.

Ohmy…one picture with this blog. (6-3-16)

Wow, I haven’t written a blog in a while. I’m overwhelmed sometimes. I just can’t manage my time wisely enough to do everything I need to do let alone do things I want to do.
So much is going on in my life and I’ll not bore you with all the details. In the past month and a half I have lost two people that I love like family. One was an older gentleman who had been on hospice for a few months. The other was his 34 year old granddaughter who had a massive brain aneurysm.
There are other things going on that I don’t want to share on such a public place.

My mom took this picture with my phone. This is my youngest nephew and I playing in the pool the other day
(May 25th, 2016). He likes to come over a lot to play. I am wearing a swimsuit under my shirt.

Apologies – blog with no photos

It’s been well over a year since I’ve posted a blog about my life with photos. I’m still taking photos, just not one a day. A lot has happened over the last year and life has just gotten in the way of me doing a blog on a regular basis.
I moved last November, so the months before were busy getting things sorted and packed. Since then I have been organizing things and trying to stay on top of all the other things in my life.
I keep saying to myself that I need to just sit down and work on this blog, but then something else comes up that needs my immediate attention. I need to be more disciplined in time management.
I now have a smart phone and have installed the WordPress app, so hopefully I will post more blogs in the future.
Look for a highlight of pictures from last year in the next few weeks (I’ll have to do that from my laptop).

It’s been awhile

I know it has been awhile since I have posted a blog. I have been working on some blogs to catch up, but life has been more important than these blogs. I have been working a part time job and this summer my youngest nephew has been here a lot.

I just got a new laptop with more hard drive space and hopefully will be able to work on my blogs and get this site up to date.

Keep watching for a new blog.

August 16th–31st

August 16th – 23rd

My youngest nephew and I took my dad to the hospital to see my mom. We came back to the house and changed our clothes (we were wearing our pajamas) then went and ran some errands. While we were at one store, we saw that a nearby store was having a closing sale. We went to that store and got my mom and oldest sister a card and a small angel figurine each. We came home and ate lunch and then went and took the card and angel to my mom (and visited her a bit). We went back to the house for a bit then went and got some frozen yogurt. We then went to a park in town (not close enough to walk). My youngest nephew played hide-n-seek with some kids, then played with a soccer ball with a couple of them and their dad. He hurt his foot (he was wearing flip flops), so he played in the sand. We then went back to the house to wait for my brother, his fiancé, and their foster girls. They picked us up and as we were leaving, my oldest nephew showed up and wanted to go with us. We went to McDonald’s to eat. We let the kids play on the game machines there and then came back to my house. They all left and my youngest nephew and I play some games and after awhile we went and picked my dad up from the hospital.

My dad wanted a coke from the machine at the hospital and this is the one that came out when I pushed “Diet Coke”.

DSCN8919 copy

On August 17th the message at church was titled, “Has God Got A Plan For You!” and the text was Ephesians 2:1-10. Three ways that God is at work in our lives are; 1) God wants you to bury the past in the past (Ephesians 2:1-3, Romans 12:2), 2) God wants you to be alive Spiritually today (Ephesians 2:4-5, Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 2:8-9), and 3)God wants to design your future (Ephesians 2:10).
After church my dad went with my older sister and her family so that they could pick up my mom from hospital. My youngest nephew and I went to my house and waited. Shortly after my mom got home my nephew and I went to a park then went to get my mom’s medication from Walmart. They didn’t have some of them, so I will have to come back tomorrow and get them. As I was leaving (driving out of the parking lot), my oldest sister called and needed me to get some things for her. My mom called and needed some thing. I went to another store and got some things. I called my sister after I left that store and found out that I forgot something, so I had to stop at a store in the town where she lives. I took my youngest nephew home and gave my sister the things she needed then went home.

DSCN8980 copy
The sun setting as I was going home from dropping off my youngest nephew.

Happy 41st Anniversary to my parents!

I did some laundry and hung some of it up outside. I went to the library to pick up some items I had on hold then went and got my mom’s medication from Walmart (the ones they didn’t have yesterday).  I also got some other things that we needed. I came home for a bit then went and did an errand for my oldest sister. I went and got some supper for my parents and I. After supper my brother, his fiancé, and their foster girls came over. I played with the girls in the playroom for awhile then outside for a bit. My brother took his car when they left. After they left, I went outside and got the clothes off the line since it might rain over night.

DSCN8989 copy
The sky as I got the clothes off the line.

I did some laundry and hung it up in the basement since it rained and it might rain again. I made my mom some tea. I cooked dinner for my parents and myself (Chicken Nuggets and Macaroni & Cheese). I took out the trash.
I read Pioneer Girl and The Story of The Ingalls Family both by William Anderson.

DSCN8996 copy

I worked on some pictures on the computer. I made chicken with broccoli, cauliflower, and cheese for supper.

DSCN9007 copy
One of the Morning Glories that bloomed on the fence.

I did some laundry and hung some of it up outside. The sewer guys came over to clean out our sewer (our property manager was also here). I made homemade potato salad (my mom talked me through it) for the first time. I cleaned off the grates and the grill so that my dad could grill out.

DSCN9038 copy
This is what the potato salad looked liked when I was done. I think I cooked the potatoes too long.

I  made some cupcakes from scratch (even the frosting). I wasn’t very patient and the frosting didn’t thicken up. I fixed the back of a shirt for one of my brother’s foster girls. Then I did some laundry. My brother came here after work. My brother’s fiancé and the foster girls came here after the girls got their hair done. The girls and I played in the playroom while my brother and his fiancé went and got supper. After supper the girls and I played in the playroom some more while my brother and his fiancé went to the store.

I went to pick up my oldest sister and youngest nephew, on the way I stopped at an ATM to get some cash out. We were going to a nearby town that is having a concert/festival. We listened to the concert and right after the concert there was an announcement that a storm was on the way (it wasn’t in the area yet, but we all needed to be careful). I got my nephew an armband so that he could ride as many rides as he wanted to. He rode one of the rides and then wanted me to ride one with him. I got some tickets then we got into one of the rides when the boss of the rides said they were closing because the storm was here. I got back my ticket. We then went and waited for the storm to pass. At one point my nephew wanted to leave, but I told him to wait it out and maybe he could ride more rides. While we were waiting a couple of the guys from the band took pictures with my nephew. We waited awhile under a tent and soon the storm passed and the rides opened back up. I rode a few rides with my nephew. I took them home then dropped off some things at my other sister’s house and went home. On the way home I stopped and got supper for my parents and I.

August 24th – 31st

The message from August 24th was titled, “The Church Being The Church” and the text was Ephesians 2:11-22. Two Biblical truths that will help us live in unity are; 1) As The Church We Are Connected (Ephesians 2:12-13, 21) & 2) As The Church We Are Responsible For Reconciliation (Ephesians 2:14-16).
After Church my brother, his fiancé, my oldest two nephews, and my brother’s fiancé’s foster girls came over for lunch. They brought Italian Beef and some other things for lunch. They visited for awhile (I played with the girls). I made supper (I think it was a Chicken Helper).

DSCN9292 copy
Tomatoes are starting to grow on the vines.

I went to the library to return some items and pick up some I had on hold. They were having a book giveaway (all the books that didn’t sale during their book sale). I got my dad some Tom Clancy books. I went to Walmart to see about my mom’s medication. For some reason her insurance is refusing it. I also got some groceries and gas. I then went and got some more groceries from another store. I came home and did a load of laundry and hung it up outside. I ended up going and getting them off the line since it was going to rain. I made pizza for supper. My brother and his fiancé dropped off the foster girls while they went to Bible study. I played and colored with the girls.
On the 25th our new property manager told us that they want to “relocate” us and they want it done by October 31st. She said that she will be looking for a new place for us, but we should also be looking. UGG We just signed a new lease a few weeks ago and now she is saying that is null and void.  So, now begins the looking and packing.

DSCN9317 copy
A Morning Glory that bloomed along the fence in the front yard.

I cleaned out the toy box-I went through the toys and cleaned the box then took it outside to wash it. I did a load of laundry and hung it up in the basement. I made chicken enchiladas and corn for supper. I brought the toy box back inside and put back some of the toys. I separated some of the other toys to give to my youngest nephew and some to my middle three nephews.
I started reading Laura Ingalls Wilder by Ginger Wadsworth.

DSCN9332 copy

I didn’t do much on the 27th. I read some. I cut the hamburger roll in half and put one half in the freezer. I did a load of laundry. I made Sloppy Joe and French Fries for supper.

DSCN9339 copy
Another Morning Glory along the fence in the front yard.

I did some laundry and hung it up outside. I read some. I went through a box in my room that had papers in it. I made Brats and Macaroni & Cheese for dinner. After supper I took a walk around the neighborhood to see what houses are available to move into (I saw two that I thought were owned by the same company we rent from).

DSCN9351 copy
The tomatoes are getting bigger.
[They never ripened enough to take them off the vines before we got our first frost in late October.]

I got clothes off the line because it was about to rain (it started to while I was getting the clothes off the line). I went with my brother-in-law to run an errand. Then when my brother got here, I went with him to run a couple of errands. We drove around and looked at a couple of places to rent that we had seen advertised online. We came home and I started making super (pig in blankets and Macaroni & Cheese).  My brother’s fiancé came with their foster girls and we all ate supper and hung out for awhile. After they left, I did some laundry.

DSCN9378 copy
The sun shinning while I ran my errand with my brother-in-law.

My dad and brother went to the college football game. My brother’s fiancé and the foster girls came and stayed here. I played some with the girls. My brother’s fiancé went to run an errand and then got some lunch for us girls (her, me, the foster girls, and my mom). The girls took a nap after lunch (my mom and brother’s fiancé, also fell asleep). I did some laundry and hung it up outside. After the football game was over, my dad and brother came back here. My brother, his fiancé, and the girls went home. I went and took something to my sister’s house. I went to the store to get some things and some gas. I stopped and got some supper on the way home.

August 31st was my dad to help in Children’s Church.
I made chicken with broccoli & cauliflower & cheese.
I finished reading Laura Ingalls wilder by Ginger Wadsworth.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

2015
I  made this picture using Photo Editor on my tablet.

Happy new year to everyone that is reading this.

I am so far behind in posting my blogs from last year. My thoughts are that I’m going to finish the last blog I’m working on (August 16th – 31st), summarize the rest of the year, then start this year’s blogs.

We (my parents and I) moved  at the beginning of November [I still don’t have all my stuff out of the boxes].

Photoshop (version 5.5) on my laptop wasn’t loading so I re-installed it and lost some of my brushes that I had made. A couple of those brushes are what I use to frame the pictures I post on here.

Look for new blogs in the coming weeks.

August 1st–15th, 2014

August 1st – 8th

I was going to hang up clothes outside on August 1st, but it was raining. I got the clothes that were already on the line (from the day before) as well as the blankets that were on my mom’s swing. I hung the clothes up in the basement. I hemmed a pair of shorts. My brother came over. Him and I went and ran some errands. My brother’s fiancé and their foster girls came over and they all ate supper with us. After supper my brother and his fiancé went to the store. I got my barbies out and played with the girls until my brother and his fiancé got back from the store.

The rain makes the roses look fake.

I did some laundry then went and got my dad something for lunch. My mom and I then ran some errands. My mom got her hair cut. We then went grocery shopping. We came back home and I did some more laundry. I also dyed some clothes blue and hung them outside to dry. I soaked the grill plates so that my dad could grill out.

DSCN0048 copy
My mom and I saw this display at County Market.
We got some to try. It’s been a long time since I’ve had Salt Water Taffy.

On August 3rd we watched a Francis Chan video at church. He spoke on Philippians 3:8-11 and The Biggest Lie In Your Life.
I took a short walk after lunch.

DSCN0060 copy
These flowers are in my neighbor’s yard.
I think they are called Naked Ladies (or Surprise Lilies).

I took my mom to get a few groceries. I did some laundry and hung some of it outside and some of it in the basement. I hemmed a pair of pants, well I turned them into shorts. My brother, his fiancé, and their foster girls came over. My brother’s fiancé made us a chicken casserole for supper. Her and my brother left the girls here while they went to a Bible study. The girls and I played outside for awhile then came inside and played with Barbies and played dress up.

A new bloom on the rose bush in the backyard.

I moved the Step2 slide before the mowers came. I did some laundry and hung some of it up in the basement and some of it outside. I hung some more laundry up outside after dinner (hopefully it doesn’t rain). I then sat in my mom’s swing and read.
I finished reading The Accidental Bride (I started reading it on July 30th) and I started reading The Trouble With Cowboys. Both books are by Denise Hunter.

DSCN8738 copy
A Morning Glory bud.
In a couple of days this will open up all the way.

I started making some shorts for my next to the oldest nephew. I had promised him some shortly after his birthday (and his birthday was April 1st). I did some laundry and hung it up outside. I also read some (inside).

DSCN8742 copy
The rose bush in the backyard.

I finished the shorts I was making for my next to the oldest nephew (well, I have to put some elastic in the waistband). I did some laundry and hung it up in the basement since it might rain. My brother-in-law dropped off his youngest two kids (my middle and next to the youngest nephews) while he went to the ER. His oldest boy (my next to the oldest nephew) went with him.  After a couple of hours my nephew came back and said his dad was getting an i.v. I took the boys with me to get my older sister from work. I took her to run some errands then took them home. My brother came here and shortly after he got here my brother-in-law came back from the ER and took his van home. My brother and I then went and got some supper. My brother’s fiancé got here with the girls right before my brother and I got back with supper. After we ate supper I played with the girls inside since it was muddy outside. I tried to fix the rocking horse we have, but couldn’t. My dad ended up looking at it and fixing it.

DSCN8760 copy
One of the Morning Glories in the front yard.

I went with my parents to sign the lease for the place we are living right now. We then went to Borics so that my dad could get his hair cut. We then went grocery shopping and my mom bought me the movie “God’s Not Dead”. We also got some gas in the car. I finished the shorts for my next to the oldest nephew and did some laundry. I read some then my parents and I went and met my brother and his fiancé at Ruby Tuesday’s (they were treating my parents to an early anniversary dinner and included me). On the way home, my parents and I stopped and got some frozen yogurt. After we were home awhile my mom and I then went to the store and got some things for breakfast in the morning (we had forgotten earlier when we were grocery shopping).

August 9th – 15th

I did some laundry then went to a friend’s son’s going away party (well, first I went and got a card for another friend who’s birthday is coming up). The son is going to boot camp for the Marines. I stayed there for a couple of hours and socialized with some old friends that I hadn’t seen in awhile. I ran an errand then came home. I did some more laundry.

DSCN8806 copy

The message from August 10th was titled, “Mastering Connections”. We master our connection with God by; First, Knowing Who Christ Is (Ephesians 1:15-17, John 10:30, & John 14:9)-Three areas about Christ that we need to understand are His Power (Ephesians 1:19-20), His Honor (Ephesians 1:19-20, Philippians 2:6-9, & Hebrews 12:2), and His Authority (Ephesians 1:19-21 & Philippians 2:9-11)-, Second, Knowing Who We Are In Christ (Ephesians 1:18).
After lunch I cleaned some in my room.
DSCN8816 copy
My youngest nephew wearing The Armor of God.
They have been learning about The Armor of God in Children’s Church.

I cleaned some in the craft room and playroom. I finished my nephew’s shorts-I had put the elastic in the other day and re-sewed the waistband. I went through the small dresser in the extra bedroom and got rid of some clothes that won’t fit any of my nephews. I put some clothes in a box to give away. I read some then did some laundry. I cleaned some in my room and the extra bedroom. I helped my brother bring the love seat from the living room to the extra bedroom. My oldest nephew was here to help move couches. We are getting my brother’s fiancé’s old couches and my oldest nephew is getting our old couch. I used my oldest nephew’s car to go to the store to get some things we needed for dinner. My brother’s fiancé and their foster girls came here and had supper with us. My brother and oldest nephew moved the new couches into the house before we ate supper. After supper my brother, my oldest nephew, and my brother’s fiancé took  our old couch to my oldest nephew’s apartment. The girls stayed here and we played bubbles outside for awhile. We then came inside and played for a little while until my brother’s fiancé came and picked them up.

DSCN8833 copy
One of the many bubble wands we have.
This one is from a Lighting McQueen set of wands.
I was trying to get a picture of the bubble coming out of the wand.

I cleaned some in the craft room and swept the floor. I did some laundry and hung it up outside. I cleaned some of my room then read some. Our property manager came by and looked at the house and saw some things that needed to be worked on (she was suppose to do this before we signed the lease, but didn’t). Her and I saw some mold in the basement (on the concrete). After supper I read in my mom’s swing.

DSCN8854 copy
A rabbit running away from something in the side yard.

I did some laundry and hung it up outside. I found some buttons for a shirt I have had for awhile. The shirt will now fit my youngest nephew. I sewed some of the buttons on the shirt.
I finished reading The Trouble With Cowboys by Denise Hunter (I started reading it on August 5th). I started reading The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. [This is the book I got from the Library for the summer reading program.]

DSCN8879 copy
The sun trying to shine through the trees in the side yard.

I did some laundry and hung it up outside. My mom is having knee replacement surgery. She had to be at the hospital at noon and the surgery was scheduled for 2:50 p.m. My brother came here after work (to get information about my mom-I didn’t know anything). My oldest sister came after work to see about my mom. I still hadn’t heard anything and it was after 5 p.m. My sister wanted me to go with her over to the hospital. We went over and our dad was in the waiting room and said that the doctor was running behind and that the surgery didn’t start until after 4 p.m. Shortly after 7 p.m. they called the waiting room and said that my mom was moving into her room. My sister and I stayed for a little while and then came back here and my sister went home. My brother had left his car (his fiancé picked him up) and locked the house door. I got his car and went back to the hospital to pick up my dad. We then went and got some supper.

DSCN8884 copy
A friend of mine gave me this Cross plaque a few years ago.

My oldest sister came and got me so that I could be with her while she has gallbladder surgery (she is at a different hospital than our mom). She had surgery around 10:30 a.m. and was in recovery around 1 p.m. One of her friends came then and stayed with us until she was released (it was outpatient surgery). I drove her home (using her vehicle). We stopped on the way to get some medication she was prescribed. Her husband brought my youngest nephew and I back to my house. I’m watching my nephew over the weekend so my oldest sister doesn’t have to worry about him while she recovers. We played outside some then my youngest nephew wanted to go visit my mom in the hospital. We stopped at the gift shop and got some candy before seeing my mom. We stayed for awhile then we came back to the house for awhile. We then went and got my dad from the hospital and got something to eat for supper. We pulled out the hide-a-bed (bed that pulls out of the couch) and slept on it.

July 16th–31st

July 16th – 23rd

I did laundry and hung it up outside to dry. I read some in my mom’s swing. I finished the bird feeder I was making out of popsicle sticks. I’m thinking about painting it [update: I didn’t paint it then we got a strong storm and it broke.] I finished taking  the zipper out of the jacket that I’m fixing for a guy at church. I cleaned out a couple of the desk drawers in the craft room. I reorganized a couple of the shelves in the dinning room and put some board games in a box and stored them in the closet in the extra bedroom.
I finished reading Quaker Summer by Lisa Samson (I started reading it on July 3rd). I started reading A Cowboy’s Touch by Denise Hunter.

DSCN9703 copy
My finished bird feeder (with bird seed in it).

I did some laundry and hung it up (outside). I went with my mom to drop some paperwork off at the hospital. We went to the cafeteria so that she could see some of her co-workers. We came home and I did some more laundry. I started reading in the sun when my older sister came by. After she left, I went back outside and read some more in the sun. I hung up some laundry outside. I went through a container that had a lot of cards and card games in it. I made sure all the cards were there. I also made a couple of rings (out of wire) and painted them with nail polish.

DSCN9715 copy
These are the rings that I made.
The one of the right has two flowers on it.
This is the website where I got the idea for these rings from.

I went with my parents to drop some paperwork off for my mom. We then went to the library. I picked up some items I had on hold. I also got my reward (a new book) for reading four books in the Summer Reading Program. This is the first year the library has had an adult division for the Summer Reading Program. I didn’t see any books that are the type I like to read (Amish or Women of Faith), so I picked The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. My parents and I came home for a bit then my mom and I went and did some errands. Shortly after we got home, I hung up some laundry outside then read in my mom’s swing. I went and got my brother from work then came back here and helped get supper ready. my brother’s fiancé came with the girls (they ate supper with us). My brother and his fiancé left to go do some shopping. My mom and I watched the girls while they were gone. I played outside with them and then we came in (when it got dark) and played for a bit.

DSCN9719 copy
A cool license plate that I saw today (and I don’t live in Maryland).
I edited the number in Photoshop (I don’t like to display people’s license plate numbers).

I did some laundry then worked on the jacket for a guy at church. I took something to my older sister’s house then went to the grocery store (my mom went with me). After I got home, I cleaned some then hung up the laundry outside. I finished fixing the jacket for a guy at church. I read some until my brother’s fiancé got here with the girls. Then shortly after they got here, my brother arrived (he had to work on the 19th). We had supper and hung out for awhile. I made a couple more flower rings  (and painted them with nail polish).

DSCN9734 copy
A squirrel on top of the swing set.
I had never saw one on the top before.

I made a flower ring before church. The message from July 20th was titled,  “The Bible Will change Your Life”. Five truths about God’s Word that can change our lives are; 1) God’s Word Penetrates (Hebrews 4:12), 2) God’s Word Heals (Psalm 107:20), 3) God’s Word is Powerful (Jeremiah 23:29), 4) God’s Word Renews (1 Peter 1:23), and 5) God’s Word Cleanses (Psalm 119:8-9).

DSCN9741 copy
I use this nail polish to hold some of my rings.
The top one is one of the ones that I have made over the last few days.

I took my dad over to the clinic so that he could have some blood drawn. I waited in the car while he went in. We came home and I went back to sleep (It was really early in the morning when I took him). I did some laundry and hung it up outside. I went and ran an errand for my oldest sister. I came home and read in my mom’s swing.
I finished reading A Cowboy’s Touch by Denise Hunter (which I started reading on July 16th). I started reading My Life As A Doormat by Rene Gutterridge.

DSCN9749 copy
I saw this bird egg outside in the backyard.

I did some laundry and hung it up outside. I read some and cleaned some in the craft room. After supper I took the trash to the curb.

DSCN9764 copy
Another bloom on the carnation bush in the front yard.

I hung up the laundry in the basement since they were white. I started working on a dress for my brother’s fiancé’s foster daughter. Her birthday is coming up. I read some in my mom’s swing. Shortly after supper I made some brownies (from a mix).

DSCN9785 copy

July 24th – 31st

I finished the dress for the foster daughter and washed it (along with some other items). I did some laundry. My brother’s fiancé brought the foster girls over for a bit today (I forgot why). I played with the girls outside for a bit. After they left I hung up some laundry outside.

DSCN9789 copy
I ran out of my professionally made personal tags, so I made my own.

I got clothes off the line and ironed the dress I made the other day. After ironing, I noticed that It was starting to rain, so I went and go the blankets off my mom’s swing. After my parents came back from my mom’s doctor appointment we ate lunch, then my mom and I went to get my youngest nephew. He is staying with us this weekend since his mom is working. We then went to Walmart so that he could pick out a gift for my brother’s foster daughter (for her birthday). We also had to look for some wrapping paper (or a gift bag) and a card. My mom called my dad and he told us that my brother got off at 2:30 p.m and we needed to pick him up. It was almost 2:30 p.m.. My nephew and I  paid for some things and left my mom there. We then went and picked up my brother. We came back and picked up my mom. On the way home we stopped at my bank then went to the grocery store. We then came here. My oldest nephew was here and him, my brother, and I went and got supper for everyone here (my parents, brother, oldest nephew, youngest nephew, and I). We ate then my dad and brother left to go get my brother-in-law and my next to the oldest nephew to go fishing. My brother’s fiancé picked up my mom, youngest nephew, and I (the foster girls were with her). The six of us then went to a sing-a-long showing of the movie Frozen. We came back here. The kids and I went outside and played for awhile. My brother and dad came back and my brother and his fiancé left the girls here while they went to the store. After they came back and got the girls, my youngest nephew and I watched tv in my room. My nephew at first wanted to sleep in the extra bedroom, but then fell asleep watching tv with me. I moved him into the extra bedroom while he was asleep.

Here is the finished dress that I made the other day.

I took my youngest nephew to get his haircut (my mom went with me). His dad had given me money to take him. The lady that usually cuts his hair wasn’t there, so it didn’t really get cut the right way (He has a cowlick really bad and only one person can cut it so it doesn’t sick up). We came home because we finally got mail [we hadn’t gotten mail all week and my dad called the post office the other day to find out why-someone (we don’t know who) had put a hold on our mail]. My mom and I then went and ran some errands. We then came home and got ready to go to my brother’s fiancé’s parents house to celebrate the oldest foster girl’s birthday. They have a pool there, so some of us swam (some of my brother’s fiancé’s family were also there as well as my older sister and her family). After the party my parents, youngest nephew, and I went to my brother’s fiancé’s house and had supper with them and the girls. My youngest nephew even played with the girls and their toys. After awhile we came home and on the way we stopped at Dairy Queen and got some ice cream. My youngest nephew is spending the night again so we can take him to Church in the morning.

A pretty sunset as we were leaving my brother’s fiancé’s house.

July 27th was my day to help out in Children’s Church.
In the afternoon my oldest nephew came and needed me to type up something for him. Actually, he had dropped it off before we left for church and I forgot and took a nap after lunch. I typed it up fast for him and printed it out. My mom and I then went and got something for supper and brought it back here to eat.

A couple of Morning Glories that will bloom soon.

The mail got here right as my mom and I were going to go to the library. There was something in the mail that we needed to deal with right away. We did that, then went to the library. I got something I had on hold and my mom picked out her free book for reading the books she needed to for the summer reading program. she picked out a book she has never heard of and now isn’t sure she is going to like it [she hasn’t read it yet as of September 30th]. My mom and I then went and ran some more errands. We stopped and got some frozen yogurt on the way home (we also got some for my dad). I checked online for some deals for pizza for supper and I ordered it online. My brother, his fiancé, and the foster girls came over for supper (and to get my brother’s car).

Here is one of the Morning glories that was in the previous picture.

I did some laundry and hung some of it up outside and some of it in the basement. I read some in my mom’s swing then I soaked the grill plates in hot soapy water. I ‘m not sure what else I did on the 29th. I took out the trash after supper.

Another Morning Glory about to bloom.

I did some laundry and hung some of it up outside and some of it in the basement. I read some in my mom’s swing. I fixed a hole (along the collar) in a shirt. I went with my oldest sister to run a errand. I went through a basket of clothes.
I finished reading My Life As a Doormat by Rene Gutteridge (which I started reading on July 21st). I started reading The Accidental Bride by Denise Hunter.

My mom and I went to Joann Fabrics because they had special occasion fabrics on sale for 70% off. We got some fabrics to make dresses for my brother’s wedding. The wedding isn’t until May 2015, but we weren’t sure if there would ever be a sale like this again. They didn’t have enough fabric of the original color my mom was going to get, so she got a darker color. We then went and got some groceries from a nearby store then headed home since we bought milk. We ate some lunch then went and ran some errands. We came back home and I soaked the grill plates then went to pick my brother up from work. We came back here and my brother hung out for a bit then went home. I read in my mom’s swing while my dad cooked out.

Some wild flowers growing in my neighbor’s yard.
I think these are called Naked Lilies.

I know I am really behind in publishing these blogs, but to be honest this is not at the top of my priority list [and now (October 1st) we are packing since we are moving at the end of the month.]. During the day I do everything else that needs to be done that at the end of the day I am too tired to sit and type this up.
